Amy's Organic Pizza Rates Near-Perfect Score
by Leslie Baldacci

Reader response to Outta's review of Amy's organic shepherd's pie prompted a second taste, this time Amy's spinach pizza.

It was terrific. The secret? Feta cheese. Plus all that organic stuff: organic wheat flour with organic oat bran and wheat germ to make the wonderful crust; organic tomatoes; organic spinach, organic tofu. The feta, which gave the pizza a lot of taste without weighing it down, is organic too, and both the feta and mozzarella that topped the pizza are "made without animal enzymes or rennet.

"The sauce was great, the spinach "in perfect proportion to the crust," as promised. (Amy's is pretty obsessive, you may recall. The pizza box lists the favorite pizza of each family member, including both grandmothers.)

But we're better for it. Amy's obsession with perfection created a delicious, wholesome pizza that is filling and satisfying.

Amy's also makes a cheese pizza and a roasted vegetable pizza with no cheese.

Available at Jewel, Dominick's, Whole Foods.
